Difference between Quality Assurance and Quality Control?


Quality Control


These are operational techniques and activities used to fulfill requirements for quality. So these are related to inspection, related to finding problem, related to finding problem and making sure that the defined standards or requirements are fulfill.

Quality Assurance

All the planned and systematic activities implemented with the quality system that can be demonstrated to provide confidence that a product or service will fulfill requirements for quality. These are more of a preventive measure rather than inspecting and then acting on that. So these coming in the front and quality control comes at the late.

According to WHO " QA is a wide ranging concept covering all maters that individually and collectively influence the quality of a product".
